[about leah p]

"What if the question is not why am I so infrequently the person I really want to be, but why do I so infrequently want to the be the person I really am?"

I am not just a photographer. I am also a dancer. "To dance, to step into the fray of daily life and to keep true to our soul's intention to live who we really are, we have to be willing to live both the reality of our separate individuality and the reality of our unity in something greater." That something greater is what brought me to photography.
I was not born with an interest in photography. I was inspired into this arena. I was inspired by the silence that a photo brings, yet the imense story it can tell. I have spent my entire life trying to be heard, speaking until there were no more words. Now, it is my time to be quiet and still, yet dance from the deepest place in my heart... through my lens. To find those moments through my viewfinder that speak volumes without uttering a sound. I ask my clients to dance with me, to realize the task is not to change for my camera, but to simply become all of who they are... allowing me a glimpse of that honest truth, that beautiful dance they do. Whether it be a napping newborn, a crying two-year-old, or a loving couple... these are all beautiful dances that I am honored to be a part of, each person moving to the rhythms of their true self.

I'd be honored to be a part of your dance, if you'd let me.
